20 Weeks Pregnant! (And a Belly Picture – Yikes!)

This pregnancy is just flying by! I’m officially in my 20th week of pregnancy… that means I’m over halfway there, since I’ve never gone longer than 39 weeks.

I have my 20 week ultrasound this Friday, and I’m trying not to stress out about it. If something has been wrong during the pregnancy, it’s always been discovered at the 20 week ultrasound. The good news is that this is the first time I won’t have to go to the ultrasound alone. Hubby’s work schedule has him off on Fridays, so he’ll be able to go with me. I’m so glad I’ll have him there!

The morning sickness is all but gone – thank heavens – and I am feeling great! I’m as big as a house, already, and I’m tired of responding to questions of “Are you having twins?” and “How many babies are in that belly?” and even “How are you going to make it all the way to March?!” UGH. I’ve always gotten big with my babies. It’s a curse, I guess. As long as the baby is healthy, that’s all that really matters. I just wish people weren’t so rude.

I figured since I’m halfway through this pregnancy, I should probably start documenting with belly pictures. I’m having a really hard time even looking at it, but I can’t hide under a rock forever. (Not that I could find a rock big enough, but I digress.)

Anyway, here’s the 20 week belly picture:

Be nice! 🙂

Angie, you look so cute! You're glowing and beautiful! Don't worry about what people say – I got that ALL the time, too. I wish I had some good comebacks for those rude people!

I know what you mean about having a hard time looking at your own belly shots. I feel that way too when I see myself and how huge I'm getting. lol You look great & as long as you & baby are healthy, then people can just go find something else to focus on, right? 🙂 Glad you're feeling better!

You look great! 🙂 I need to take another belly picture but I'm putting it off, too. lol 29 weeks is coming up. YIKES!

And I've noticed that most people who comment are just doing it because they're not thinking or they just really don't understand (especially if they're men, lol). We take it personal because we're feeling so huge but they feel like they can say it because we're pregnant – apparently we're not expected to feel offended. lol

Oh well! Pretty soon we'll have our bodies back and be able to work on getting back to a comfortable weight. Right now I'm anything but comfortable!
