I love keychains. And I love fun, unique keychains that stand out. Keychains are great for keeping your keys together, yes, but they also make great zipper pulls (perfect for toddlers just learning to zip), decorations, hang them from your rearview mirror – the list goes on and on.

Wholesalekeychain.com has – by far! – the largest and absolute best selection of keychains I have found anywhere online. Not only that, but their prices are fantastic too!

Here’s some information about wholesalekeychain.com that I found on their website:

My Review of Wholesalekeychain.com
I was contacted by a rep from wholesalekeychain.com and was given a selection of Valentine’s Day themed keychains to pick from for this review.

I picked the Crystal Heart Keychain because I love anything that sparkles. With the price being only $4.99, though, my expectations weren’t very high. When the package arrived, I was blown away!

The keychain was beautifully packaged in a gift box tied with ribbon and little crystal bow at the center. Inside the box, the crystal keychain was beautifully displayed on a satin-covered pillow. Most places would charge more than $4.99 just for the box!

The keychain itself is beautiful. No one would ever guess that it cost so little! It’s very well made, and so far has withstood being tossed in my purse time after time. It’s gotten tons of abuse from me and my kids, and it’s held up beautifully!

This keychain would make a really great bridesmaid gift for the budget-conscious bride. Husbands, this would make a great little gift for your wife. It’s sure to get a smile. Or, if you’re having a bad day, order one for yourself. It would make a great little pick-me-up, and you wouldn’t have to kick yourself for spending a lot of money!

I would definitely recommend wholesalekeychain.com to my friends or anyone looking for a fun, unique keychain.

Try New Pampers Diapers with Dry Max

I am a huge fan of Pampers, and I’ve got some big news to share with you moms out there! Starting today, you can head to Pampers.com and request a free three-pack sample of Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max. (Stamped diapers are randomly inserted into select sample packs.)

Dry Max Facts
Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max is the brand’s first high performance diaper and the biggest innovation for the Pampers brand in the last 25 years. Pampers has invented the Dry Max technology and applied it to the current Swaddlers and Cruisers core, which allows the diaper to be 20 percent thinner than current Pampers Cruisers without sacrificing any performance. This hard-working diaper locks wetness away and is Pampers’ driest diaper ever. New Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max have game-changing benefits for mom, baby and the world.

After you head over to Pampers.com and request your free sample, come back here because I’ve got more good news to share with you! You go. Hurry, because these won’t last long! I’ll wait right here.

Did you request your sample? Ok, good. Now, here’s more great stuff…

Pampers has partnered with Team USA
While the world is joining together to recognize the world’s best athletes in Vancouver, Pampers has partnered with Team USA to celebrate the best players in the world™ – babies! When you see a babies’ passion and dedication to play, you see that they, in fact, ARE the best players in the world (and even surpass some worldclass adult players). After repeatedly observing how they love to challenge themselves to continually improve their skills, Pampers felt that babies should be recognized and celebrated in the same forum as the most elite athletes – and that’s why they’ve created such a high performance diaper to help them play on and on.

For many U.S. Olympic athletes, bringing home a medal is not just their dream – it’s their family’s dream. Pampers is working with two medal contender athletes – U.S. Olympic goldmedal speed skater and dad to baby Hadley, Chad Hedrick; and skeleton World Champion and mom to toddler Lacee, Noelle Pikus-Pace – and both of their families – to share their Vancouver experiences from their babies’ point of view. Photos and videos will be uploaded daily to Pampers.com.

Want More Great News?
I will soon get to host a review and giveaway here on 5 Vinez Monkeys! That’s right! I’ll give you my thoughts and opinions on the new Dry Max technology, and see if it can really hold up against my littlest monkey. I can’t wait! "I Don’t Want to Miss" Contest from Clorox

Having so many kids, (and one which is a tween involved in tons of church activities and social events), makes life complicated enough. Add to that the burden of someone always being sick, and there’s a lot that I or my kids end up missing – church, a night at the movies, time at Grandma’s, time with friends. The list goes on and on.

Then there’s the looming threat of the H1N1 virus. I opted not to give my kids the vaccine, and Parker ended up getting the virus. He was down for the count for weeks. He and I sat home, night after night, missing church services, church activities, and countless other fun things we could have been doing.

The Clorox Company wants to help spread the word about flu prevention, and they have teamed up with former American Idol finalist Danny Gokey. Together, they are launching “I Don’t Want to Miss” – a national campaign to get teens and their teachers involved in flu prevention.

This is one of the most unique and fun programs I have heard of to get teens involved in something as important as staying healthy. Here’s the deal: Gather up your glee club, show choir, or school music group and develop a video performance of a song written by Berklee College of Music student Will Wells. The song talks about what they don’t want to miss out on if they were home sick and why prevention is so important. What does the winning school get? They’ll get a music class led by former American Idol finalist Danny Gokey! How fun!

And that’s not all! For every entry submitted, The Clorox Company will donate $100, (and up to $10,000), to the Sophia’s Heart Foundation. This charity was founded by Gokey in honor of his late wife, Sophia, and dedicated to helping children achieve academic success via musical training and restoring musical dreams in children. Sounds like a great charity to me!

If you’ve got musically inclined teenagers, click here to learn more about the “I Don’t Want to Miss” Contest and how they can get involved. The teachers of the first 100 groups to submit will receive a wellness care package from The Clorox Company. So don’t delay!

Now for some Flu Prevention Facts, courtesy of the Clorox page on Facebook (www.Facebook.com/Clorox):

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend that children and teens over 6 months and up to age 18 get flu vaccinations.

Tips to Help Spread Protection
* Get your flu shot
* Frequently wash your hands
* If you are sick with flu-like illness stay home for at least 24 hours after your fever is gone
* Disinfect your home and talk to your friends about disinfecting their home as well

Regularly disinfect these frequently touched surfaces
* LIGHT SWITCHES
* TELEPHONES
* REMOTE CONTROLS
* COMPUTER MOUSE
* TOILET HANDLE
* REFRIGERATOR HANDLES
* MICROWAVE HANDLES
* BEDSIDE TABLES
* PLASTIC TOYS
* FAUCETS

Head to the Clorox page on Facebook (www.Facebook.com/Clorox) to read more about flu prevention, see videos, or just become a fan of this terrific company! And get your teen’s school involved in this fantastic contest. Full details can be found here.

Disclaimer: I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Clorox and received $20 thank-you gift certificate.

Have You Heard of BillionDollarBabes.com?

While the title of the website can make even the cleanest mind think dirty thoughts, this website is nothing like the title would suggest. Unless, of course, you think getting away with really low prices is downright dirty!

Here’s how the “About Us” page on the Billion Dollar Babes website describes the site:

Billion Dollar Babes, a cutting-edge fashion club that’s been around since 2001. We serve up top designers on a silver platter to a lucky few – at ridiculously discounted prices.

But we’re so much more than your average online sample sale.

Founded in Hollywood in 2001, we pioneered the multi-designer sample sale with our now-legendary “real world” shopping events in major cities worldwide. What started as an “insiders” event at LA’s House of Blues has, over the years, grown into a fashion phenomenon complete with flowing cocktails, beauty bars and swag bags. These sophisticated, “A-list affairs” (thanks, NY Times) have been regularly held in Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, Chicago, London and Dublin with participating designers ranging from the international powerhouses of Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino and Chloe, to American contemporaries like Diane von Furstenberg, Catherine Malandrino and James Perse.

Of course, sometimes even the most fabu fashionistas like to shop in their skivvies (at 3am…in Dubai), so in 2009 we went Web. At billiondollarbabes.com, we hold three high-end designer sales per week, each lasting 48 hours and featuring discounts of up to 85%.

Stop by BillionDollarBabes.com today and join. Babystar is one of the featured shops today, and you can get prices at up to 70% off. If you didn’t win my Rock the Tote Giveaway last week, this would be a great time to snatch up a bag for yourself at a really great price!

Hurry, though. Babystar won’t be featured for long, and you don’t want to miss this!

If you do happen to miss Babystar’s feature, I’m certain there will still be plenty of other opportunities you won’t want to miss out on. Join BillionDollarBabes.com today!

Blogging Tip: Add a Grab My Button Section to Your Blog

Please Note: If you are reading this blog post via email, your email client may alter or interpret the html code. If you want to copy the code, please click on the title of the blog post to be take directly to this post on the web.

As one who designs custom buttons and banners for bloggers, I am constantly asked the same questions over and over. The question that I am asked (almost daily) is, “How do I add a way for my readers to grab my button?”

While I will continue to assist my clients in any way possible, I thought it might benefit my readers if you could quickly and easily find the code to add your own “Grab My Button” section to your blog.

All it takes is a little bit of html code to make your button magically appear, along with a text box underneath it.

If you’re using blogger, you’ll need to go to your “Layouts” tab, then “Add a Gadget” to your sidebar. When the box pops up, you’ll need to select the “Jave/HTML” option.

On wordpress, in your dashboard, under Appearance, click on Widgets. Then, drag a “text” box over to the area of your sidebar that you’d like the button to appear.

Here’s the code you will need to put in either your gadget or widget box:

<center><img src=”INSERT LINK TO IMAGE HERE”/> <textarea rows=”7″ cols=”12″>
<a href=”INSERT LINK TO YOUR BLOG HERE” target=”_blank”><img src=”INSERT LINK TO IMAGE HERE” border=”0″ alt=”INSERT BLOG NAME HERE”/></a></textarea></center>

Now, let me break that code up for you so that it’s a little easier to understand:

  • Adding <center> at the beginning of the code, and </center> at the end of the code will do just what it says: center your button in your sidebar.
  • Where it says “INSERT LINK TO IMAGE HERE” – in BOTH of those areas, you will need to add the link to where your image is hosted. It may be paypal, it may be your personal website. Just know where your image is hosted, and be sure to include the http:// when you add the link in.
  • The “<textarea>” section will be the little box that appears next to your button containing the code your readers will grab.
  • Make sure you add the http:// to your blog’s website address when you insert it in the area that says “INSERT LINK TO YOUR BLOG HERE.”
  • target=”_blank” means that when readers click on the button your readers will post, your blog will automatically open in a new tab or window.
  • border=”0″ prevents that dreaded blue or purple box going around your button.
  • alt=”INSERT BLOG NAME HERE” – Put the name of your blog in that section. For my personal blog (this blog), I’d put “5 Vinez Monkeys” just like that.

Now, let me show you an example of this code in action.

This code:
<center><img src=”http://www.angelavinezdesigns.com/supermom125.jpg”/> <textarea rows=”7″ cols=”12″><a href=”http://www.supermomsanctuary.com” target=”_blank”><img src=”http://www.angelavinezdesigns.com/supermom125.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”Super Mom Sanctuary”/></a></textarea></center>

Would look like this:

Easy, right?

So, what are you waiting for? No excuses! Go add a “Grab My Button” section to your blog right now.

Don’t have a button to share? No problem. I can help. Pricing for 125×125 buttons starts at just $3! And not only do you get the button, but I will host your button on my website forever! I’ll send you the code to publish your button to your blog once the design is complete. Click here to pick the size/style of your custom button or banner, and I’ll get it made just for you!

If you successfully add a “Grab My Button” section to your blog thanks to this post, leave me a comment. I’d love to stop by and see!

Rethink What Matters

Rethink What Matters invites women nationwide to shake up their foundation and sound off on topics that are more than just skin-deep – from going bare in public to discussing what freedom really feels like.

Born from employees rethinking makeup itself – the beauty brand found looking good is not about using artificial gunk to cover imperfections, but about enhancing what you’ve got. In keeping with their wink-wink approach to marketing (Love Matte Campaign), Bare Escentuals will be unveiling thought-provoking taglines to help start honest conversations amongst girlfriends about what really matters. For instance, one reads “Rethink Going Bare in Public. BareMineral’s SPF15 Foundation feels completely weightless, but gives you all the flawless coverage you need. Like you are wearing nothing at all.”

Bare Escentuals invites YOU to give rethinking a try, too. Every week at RethinkWhatMatters.com, a new discussion topic will be featured with five questions for all to answer, share with their friends and have the chance win free products and other fantastic goodies. New topics and products will be featured weekly, posted each Friday. Today’s topic is “rethinking going bare in public”, giving away the Flawless Definition Mascara. Feeling cheeky?

Do YOU Text & Drive?

I normally don’t watch Oprah. Nothing against her personally, I just don’t like the show. But, on Monday, she had a show that I definitely wanted to tune into. It was on texting and driving.

As a mom of a tween, and specifically one who wants a cell phone and can’t wait to drive, I thought it was important that we watch this episode together.

I will admit it: I use my phone far too much while driving. I won’t text or check emails while I’m driving, but if I’m at a stoplight, I do. But I do talk on the phone while driving – a lot. Down here, if you want to get anywhere, you have to drive forever. I’ll catch up with friends, take care of business calls, and just talk to hubby on the phone. After Monday’s episode of Oprah, though, you’d better believe that I’ll be hanging up the phone for good while behind the wheel.

No phone call is worth a life. My kids are usually in the car with me, and I can’t take the chance of something happening to them or to anyone else because I was distracted with the phone.

The motto that Oprah came up with to raise awareness is “Don’t Text Fate, That Text Can Wait.” Excellent motto, and one that every teenager should be exposed to.

Now, it’s your turn to fess up. Do you text and drive? Do you talk on the phone while you’re driving? Did you see Oprah’s show on Monday? Did it change your thoughts on using your phone and driving?

I’d love to hear your comments and thoughts on this issue!

Wordless Wednesday: You did WHAT?!

He found the clippers:
5 year old haircut

The end result:
5 year old haircut - after

I really can’t keep this post too “wordless.” I feel the need to explain. Hubby cuts the boys’ hair. It’s just cheaper and easier that way. When the clippers aren’t in use, they are stored under the sink in the master bathroom. The kids only use our bathroom when the other potty is in use, and honestly? We never thought about any of them messing with the clippers.

Apparently, Jace decided to try cutting his own hair. I have no idea how he plugged in the clippers or knew how to turn them on, but he did. And he took them to the front of his head. Hubby had to shave his entire head, because there was no other way to fix it.

And the reason Jace is crying so hard? Because he was terrified that people would laugh at him because he had to get all of his hair cut off.

And for the record, the clippers are now in the top of my closet – well out of the reach of little hands (and heads).

Follow Friday: Week 24

Super Mom Sanctuary This week, I want to invite you to check out a new blog that I’ve started. It’s called “Super Mom Sanctuary” and our tagline is “A place for moms just trying to live for Jesus.”

Here’s a little more about Super Mom Sanctuary:

Created by a Christian mom of 5, Super Mom Sanctuary was started as a place to bring rest and refuge to other Christian moms. Life can be overwhelming. Here at Super Mom Sanctuary, you can put the worries and stresses of life aside and focus on rejuvenating your heart and soul. Our goal is to help you build a real relationship with Christ and to really understand that we “can do all things through Christ.” (Philippians 4:13)

On the Super Mom Sanctuary website, you can find Bible Studies to encourage and uplift you, discussions on parenting in today’s world, topic discussions on building and strengthening your marriage and other relationships, and product reviews and giveaways to encourage you and help you rejuvenate.

You can also submit a prayer request and take a moment to pray for those mentioned. And, there’s even a way for you to submit a topic request that you’d like to see discussed on Super Mom Sanctuary.

I know that life is tough. I spend many days and nights praying to just make it through the next 5 minutes. But, no matter how tough life gets, I need to remember to keep my focus on my Savior.

I would love to have you stop by Super Mom Sanctuary and become a follower. And be sure to stop by often. In the next few weeks, we’ll be hosting giveaways and even starting a forum.

My prayer is that you will be encouraged just through stopping by.

If you’re participating in Follow Friday, you are welcome to grab this button and share it with the blog you’re recommending this week:
