30 Days of Giving Thanks: Day 7

Today, I am giving thanks for my home.

Our home is not a mansion by any means. In fact, most people would consider it quite small.  It’s not fancy. It’s just a simple little house on the side of a mountain.

But it’s home.30 Days of Giving Thanks

I’m thankful that we have more food than we have cupboard space for, when there are so many others going hungry right now. The piles and piles of laundry waiting to be put away mean that we have clean clothes and a washer and dryer. Imagine washing for 8 before the washing machine was invented. See? So much in my home I can be thankful for!

I may never live in a mansion, but I love my little home and my great big family. I pray that as my kids grow up, they will always know the door to home is open. I can’t wait for the large family dinners during the holidays surrounded by my children and their families.

What are you thankful for today?

So jealous you live on the side of a mountain. I just got back from a 3 day retreat on the side of a hill by the Guadalupe River. How peaceful! I pray your days are peaceful and refreshing.
