It all started late Saturday night. Jace started running a fever and didn’t feel well. Lucy woke up Sunday morning also running a fever. I stayed home from church with the kids in the morning, and by the afternoon, Lucy was back to her old self. I took her and the other kids to church and left JJ at home with hubby that evening. (Cuz Lord knows I needed some preachin’!)
I got home after the evening service, we had dinner, and Jace started throwing up everywhere. He was miserable. I couldn’t get him to keep anything down and his fever spiked to 104 an hour after having tylenol, so we ran to the ER. They gave him a suppository for the nausea and finally let us go once he was able to keep down an entire glass of water. (It felt like forever before that happened.)
We got home and he was just lethargic all day Monday. On Monday night, Lucy started running a fever of 104. UGH. So, I cooled her down with a cool bath and pumped the motrin and tylenol into her.
On Tuesday, they were both acting better, but I still couldn’t get Jace off the couch.
Wednesday, I thought we were in the clear. I baked a cake for my Wednesday night class, got ready for church, and Jace gets diarrhea everywhere. What a mess. I sent hubby off to church with everyone but Jace and Parker, and spent all evening cleaning up poop. The joys of motherhood.
So, if I’m scarce, you’ll know why. I guess one of the “perks” of having a large family is that when sickness strikes, it hits hard.
I’ll wear my medical mask so ya’all don’t get any sickie vibes when you visit my blog. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy!
