Bikini Kitchen Tanning Lotion (Review)

With the hundreds – if not thousands – of tanning lotions on the market today, how do you know which is the best tanning lotion to get your skin dark during the summer months?

I recently had the opportunity to test out the Hawaiian Bikini Kitchen Booty Butter Tanning Lotion, and I am hooked! Before I get into my full review, here’s some information about Bikini Kitchen tanning lotion, quoted from their website:

At Bikini Kitchen our ovens are always set to bronze those bodacious booties with the best tanning lotion that contains all-natural ingredients: Booty Butter Tanning Lotion.

Our golden brown lotion comes straight from the islands of Hawaii. Thanks to its secret Hawaiian Kukui Nut Oil, the skin turns a luxurious bronze quickly. So if you are a busy babe – don’t worry! We guarantee you’ll see a noticeable difference in your tan in just one hour.

Our tanning lotion is so superior that even our fairer beach dwellers can use it in conjunction with any type of SPF lotion (highly recommended) and still see amazing results. Say goodbye to fake bake, orange skin and say hello to a natural glow regardless of your skin tone.

My Review of Bikini Butter Tanning Lotion
I have to say that the bottle of tanning lotion was enough to make me giddy to try the product. The back of the package states, “At Bikini Kitchen, we HAVE to wear our bikinis in the kitchen, ‘cuz we butter our booties, and you should too!” And then it just gets more hysterical from there. By the time I finished reading the back of the bottle, I couldn’t wait to try it!

I will admit it, I am white. And by white, I mean practically albino white. If the light hits my legs just right, it will blind you. Permanently. And while I don’t wear a bikini, I do hate putting on capris or shorts because my legs are so white.

We’ve had some really gorgeous days around here lately, so I got the chance to slather on some Bikini Kitchen tanning lotion and head to the park with my kids. I *love* the scent of the lotion. And it doesn’t go on greasy like so many lotions and oils do. It rubbed in, and instantly my legs felt better – moisturized and silky soft.

By the time we were done at the park, I couldn’t believe the difference the Bikini Butter had made. My legs wouldn’t blind a harmless passerby any more. No, I’m not brown and crispy yet, I am well on my way to have gorgeously tanned legs and arms.

Bikini Kitchen is my new favorite tanning lotion, and I’ll be sporting it every time we hit the beach or the park this summer. I’m hoping that by the time summer is into full swing, I’ll have a perfectly glorious tan!

If you want to purchase Bikini Kitchen tanning lotion, head to their website at and order some for yourself. It’s a little pricey at $27.95 for 8 ounces, but in my opinion, it’s worth every penny.

If you want to test it out for yourself before splurging on the 8 ounce bottle, you can grab a 1 ounce tester sized bottle for just $2.95.)

Disclaimer: I was contacted on behalf of Bikini Kitchen Tanning Lotion and was sent a bottle of tanning lotion to get my honest and thorough review. I was in no other way compensated for this post, and the free products in no way influenced my opinion. The thoughts expressed in this post are 100% my own. I am not a huge fan of tanning, but you know what, I have been in those beds before and they just don’t seem to do anything for me. I lay in their bored out of my mind for 10-15 minutes and come out with some artificial orange looking tan. On top of that, during summer months, I’ll go out and get my natural tan but I don’t need to make me skin look at all leathery to be attractive… It’s gross. I find women who have leathery orange-ish skin just hideous. Finally someone actually agrees with me on how stupid all this is… … and by no means does this Dr. Richalds guy hold back … wow
