Crochet Monkey Hats – I Want One!

I know that I have months until Gage makes his arrival. But, now that we are 100% sure that we are having a boy, I’m dying to start shopping. One of the things on my “must have” list is a crochet monkey hat. Since he’s due in March, and will most likely come early, I think a monkey hat would make the perfect prop for his newborn photos. (For Parker, my October baby, we used a large pumpkin.)

So, I’ve been spending lots of time on etsy looking at crochet monkey hats. You wouldn’t believe how many there are!

I’ve narrowed down my choices to these….. for now. If you have an etsy shop, or you make crochet monkey hats, leave me a link in the comments to your website/etsy shop or drop me an email using the Contact form above.

Anyway, here goes…. (Click on the pictures to be taken directly to the item on etsy.)

This one is made by a fellow blogger, Lori. She does such great work. It’s actually a bear, but I sent her a message and asked her if she could tweak it a bit and make it a bit more “monkey-ish.” I’m still waiting to hear back from her.

I just love it! And isn’t her little model adorable? Check out Lori’s shop, Melon and Pebble, because she has tons and tons of really adorable items!

This is my second favorite hat. I love the colors, but *sigh* it’s a 6 to 24 month sized hat. I’m praying I don’t give birth to a baby with a head large enough to fit in that, so I don’t think it would work for newborn pictures. But, man, is it cute!?!

It’s available at the CitéFuzz shop – along with a ton of other really cute items.

CitéFuzz also has this hat available, and if Lori isn’t able to tweak her hat for me, it’s probably the one I’ll end up buying. It’s really cute, and I love the way this tiny little baby looks in the picture. Oh, I can’t wait to have another little one to hold!

Know of more crochet monkeys hats that I should be looking at or considering for Gage? Please let me know! :0)

These are soooo cute! I see I'm not the only one with the Etsy bug. 😉 I love crochet hats and have made a couple in the past but I just can't focus long enough to crochet anything nowadays, and it's tough with a 2-year-old around, lol.
