Day 7: 30 Day of Giving Thanks

Day 7: Today, I am giving thanks for our right to vote.

30 Days of Giving ThanksAs I am typing this post to go live in the morning, I’m sitting here watching tv as the election results start to pour in. I am so thankful to live in a country where we have the right to vote, to speak our mind, and to cast our ballot for the man we believe should head up our country.

And as the results come in, I can’t help but be even so much more thankful that no matter who wins the election, God is still on the throne. No matter what may happen, we can still trust that God is in control, and He will take care of us.

I’ll leave you with a verse that is also a comfort… especially when it comes to election time: Daniel 2:20 – 21 – “Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:”

What are you thankful for today?

While I personally don’t agree with the outcome of the election… I am thankful for the right to vote & voice our opinion. And no matter who our president is, he or she only has God to answer for their work on earth just as we all do!

Thankful that my hope is in Jesus Christ and not in this world or its government
