Day 8: 30 Days of Giving Thanks

Day 8: Today, I am giving thanks for our home.

30 Days of Giving ThanksI just love our home. It’s not big and fancy, and it’s nowhere near what you would call a mansion. But it’s home. It’s where memories are made, and where I love to be. We moved early this year, just a few weeks before Gage was born. It has truly been the best move we have ever made. We are 5 minutes from church, and I am now just 3 minutes from my best friend. It doesn’t get any better. 🙂

For the first time, we finally have enough room for all of our kids – and our stuff. 🙂 Yes, we have 4 boys in one room, and we will soon have 3 girls sharing the other bedroom, but it works, and it works well. (Most of the time. Some days it looks like the girls’ closet exploded, but I guess one should expect that with a 15 year old and a 6 year old – both of whom change their clothes at least 5 times a day.)

I am so looking forward to the holidays this year. I am sad that our family from Ohio will not be able to join us, but we will be able to celebrate with family and friends that are close by. I can’t wait to put up the Christmas tree and start making memories in our “forever” home.

What are you thankful for today?
