Filtrete Water Pitcher {Review and Giveaway}

It’s Earth Day, and almost everywhere you look on the net, people are talking about ways to treat our planet a little better. While I must admit that I could do a whole lot better in certain areas, I am trying.
Because I’m breastfeeding, I am thirsty all the time. I drink a lot of water when I’m pregnant, but when I’m breastfeeding my water intake increases about 4 fold. I typically drink about 2 gallons of water per day – and that’s just me. The rest of my family loves water too, so we go through a whole lot of water every day. Could you imagine how many water bottles that would be? Crazy.
Luckily, there’s the Filtrete Water Pitcher to save the day!
I was recently contacted by a member of Hunter Public Relations and asked if I would review the Filtrete Water Pitcher. I said yes, but what she didn’t know was that I already have the exact same Filtrete Water Pitcher in my fridge. I love this pitcher. The water tastes great! We have city tap water, and I can’t stand the way it tastes when not filtered. But, after a quick trip through the Filtrete Water Pitcher, it tastes great. In fact, I like it better than most bottled water I’ve tried.
Another feature that I love is how fast it fills up! I’ve used other pitchers in the past that seemed to take forever to fill. Not this one! In just a few seconds, the water is through the filter and ready to drink.
I’ve had my pitcher for about 6 months now, and I still use it every day. I’ve had to replace the filter several times, but it’s much more cost-effective – AND better for the environment – than buying bottled water.

we recycle, use cfl’s, have a mulch pile out back, taking short showers, and if your leaving the room shut it off!
