Filtrete Water Pitcher {Review and Giveaway}

This giveaway will end Wednesday, May 11th at 11:59pm EST.

filtrete water pitcherIt’s Earth Day, and almost everywhere you look on the net, people are talking about ways to treat our planet a little better. While I must admit that I could do a whole lot better in certain areas, I am trying.

Because I’m breastfeeding, I am thirsty all the time. I drink a lot of water when I’m pregnant, but when I’m breastfeeding my water intake increases about 4 fold. I typically drink about 2 gallons of water per day – and that’s just me. The rest of my family loves water too, so we go through a whole lot of water every day. Could you imagine how many water bottles that would be? Crazy.

Luckily, there’s the Filtrete Water Pitcher to save the day!

I was recently contacted by a member of Hunter Public Relations and asked if I would review the Filtrete Water Pitcher. I said yes, but what she didn’t know was that I already have the exact same Filtrete Water Pitcher in my fridge. I absolutely love it, and figured I could offer up the extra water pitcher to my readers so that you can see for yourselves how fabulous this filter is.

Here are some features of the Filtrete Water Pitcher:

  • Filters five times faster than traditional pitcher filter
  • Filters two and a half times more water, lasting approximately three months
  • Sleek design allows it to hold more filtered water while taking up less space in your refrigerator
  • Helps reduce chlorine taste and odor and sediment

I love this pitcher. The water tastes great! We have city tap water, and I can’t stand the way it tastes when not filtered. But, after a quick trip through the Filtrete Water Pitcher, it tastes great. In fact, I like it better than most bottled water I’ve tried.

Another feature that I love is how fast it fills up! I’ve used other pitchers in the past that seemed to take forever to fill. Not this one! In just a few seconds, the water is through the filter and ready to drink.

I’ve had my pitcher for about 6 months now, and I still use it every day. I’ve had to replace the filter several times, but it’s much more cost-effective – AND better for the environment – than buying bottled water.

The Fitrete Water Pitcher can be purchased at most retail stores: Walmart, Ace Hardware, Home Depot, etc., or you can also purchase it online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and many other online retailers. The full list can be found on the Fitrete Website: Where to buy the Filtrete Water Pitcher

I love my Filtrete Water Pitcher, and can’t imagine using anything else. And since I’ve got an extra pitcher here, I’m offering it up to one lucky winner!

    Thanks for the post and chance to win. WHenever I’m in the shower and shaving or conditioning–and don’t need water–I always shut it off. Otherwise it’s a total waste!
