Is it better not knowing?

Sabrina brought over dinner tonight. Along with dinner, she brought a portable blood pressure machine. I’ve taken my blood pressure quite a few times tonight, and it’s never fallen below 143/104. No wonder my swelling is still as bad as it is. That’s as low as it’s gotten – even hours after taking my bp medicine. Would it have been better if I hadn’t known it was still that high? Probably not… at least this way I know to keep resting as much as possible.

I’ll be calling the doctor first thing in the morning. I have an appointment on Thursday afternoon, but this is still pretty darn high for being on meds AND almost a week after delivery. If I could just get some relief from the swelling. I think if I could get rid of it, my bp would go way down.

Hubby is getting a few “props” that I’ll need to take Parker’s newborn photos. I wanted to do it on Monday, but we have to wait until pay day to get what we need! 😉 I’ll be sharing LOTS of photos soon, so be prepared.

I’ll keep you posted on the BP situation. I may be going into the doctor’s office bright and early tomorrow morning.

I hope things get better. You really need to monitor your BP. They don’t call it the silent killer for nothing. My hubby has been having some pretty serious problems with his. I worry about him all the time. Keep us posted on what the doctor says. I hope you are able to get littl rest, although I know that probably isn’t very likely all things considered. 😉
