Lucy had to go to the doctor for her 9 month well visit today. Her doctor’s office is across the street from the mall where my mom’s office is. I left the older kids with mom, and when Lucy and I returned, Jace informed me that he “just had to go into the mall.” We walked through the mall and came to the Disney Store. My kids are as obsessed with Disney as much as I am. (A LOT!) The first thing Zander did was find every cool Peter Pan toy that he could. I explained to him that his birthday is just a few weeks away, and I’m not buying anything for him right now. As we continue walking around the store he says, “When I am 4, I will get all this stuff. Do you know why?” I asked why, and he replied, “Because it will be my birthday. They have to give me stuff on my birthday!”
I wish it were that easy! Sure would make affording toys a lot easier! 😉
On another note, Ms. Lucy has learned how to flirt. While at the doctor’s office, there was a high school boy sitting in the waiting room. Lucy couldn’t keep her eyes off him, and she kept sticking out her tongue (mouth open as big as it can go), and singing at the top of her lungs. The kid tried so hard not to laugh, but Lucy wouldn’t let up. She demanded his attention the entire time we were there. Lord, I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come!
