March 18th

I picked Z and Ash up from school today, and Z was so excited to tell me all about his day. I heard about his time with the speech therapist, the treat that the speech therapist gave him, how William called him a “book-bag head,” and on, and on, and on, and on. After a few minutes, he says, “Mom, I need you to call my teacher.” When I asked why, he told me, “Because I was so good today, and I need a special treat from you. Call my teacher so she can tell you how good I was!”

The child will do anything to get a special treat. (And, no, I didn’t call the teacher, and he didn’t get the “special treat” until his dinner plate was clean.)
