My PSA for today

Get out there and rock the vote!

My biggest pet peeve is someone who complains and complains about the country, the president, what they’re doing, and then they say that THEY DIDN’T VOTE. If you don’t vote and make your voice heard, you have NO right to complain about squat.

I sent in my absentee ballot last week, since I can’t leave the house with Parker. (That, and my grandma works at the Board of Elections. If I didn’t vote, I’d be disowned.)

I had a VERY hard time voting in this election, only because I don’t care for either of the candidate choices. McCain scares me to death, and all I can say about Obama is that “an Obama-nation would be an abomination.” (I didn’t make that up. I heard it somewhere.) BUT, I did vote, and that’s what matters. Now I have every right to complain as much as I want if things don’t go my way. 😉

So, let your voice be heard. Cast your ballot and make a difference.,

Call me uneducated…but what exactly does “an Obama-nation would be an abomination.” mean? I’ve heard it before as well but don’t understand.

I think you are only allowed to complain if you voted for the loser.

If you voted for the winner and he does a crappy job, then you still can’t complain because you voted for him.

Many people who didn’t like either candidate voted for a third party candidate. They won’t win the election, but they need to gain some ground.

Do you want me to send you the enfamil/similac coupons I talked about in my coupon post? I have a Christmas outfit for Parker, too.

You’re so right, Danielle… I hadn’t thought of it that way. And, yes! I’ll shoot you an email after I finish something for a client.

Cat – in the Bible, (Proverbs 6:16, 17) it talks about 7 things that are an abomination until the Lord. Basically, the people who use the phrase that I did are Christians who are worried about where Obama stands morally. I am absolutely terrified of that man becoming president, but I have to trust that God is in control and this is all part of his perfect plan. Does that make sense?

    I rocked my vote!

I stood in line for 45 minutes to vote. I think you are only allowed the right to complain about the president or goverment if you excercised your right to vote.

Ahh okay…I didn’t really see it from a religious side, I haven’t been to church since I was a kid. Thanks for clearing that up 🙂
