Good gosh! I can’t believe it’s October already!
Lucy has been in a mood all day. She woke up REALLY early this morning, and took a really good nap. When she gets a good nap, she turns into the world’s biggest ham – and an even bigger goofball. She will do anything to get people to laugh.
We decided to go out to dinner this evening before church. We never, ever do this, because it’s so darn expensive, but with the way I’ve been feeling, hubby decided he needed a night off. 😉
We get to the restaurant, get to our table, get situated, and order. Ashley and I get our salads, and Zander says the blessing for the food. At the end, he says “Amen.” All of a sudden, Lucy shouts, “AMEN!” The people at the next table stifle their giggles, but it was to no avail. Lucy heard them and discovered someone thought she was funny. There was no stopping her after that. “AMEN!” she shouts again, followed by slamming her fist on the table. “AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!” After she got done with the Amens, she burst into song. And when Lucy bursts into song, it’s not quiet. The room was soon filled with “May be full” – the only line of the only song Lucy will sing – over and over and over again. At least the people around us thought it was funny and they didn’t throw us out of the restaurant.
