Pampers’ Little Miracle Mission {Giveaway}

This giveaway will end Friday, May 20th at 11:59pm EST.

In celebration of its 50th birthday, Pampers is recognizing how much parenting has changed over the years, and is sharing their belief that every baby is a little miracle that deserves to be celebrated, supported and protected, by unveiling its Little Miracle Mission campaign – a program that delivers acts of kindness to miracles and their families while encouraging parents to support others.

Pampers recently kicked off the Little Miracle Missions campaign by delivering a giant act of support –donating care packages to Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) across the country.  Celebs Joey Lawrence , Ali Larter, Mark Consuelos and LaLa Anthony were on-hand in New York City to personally deliver a care package and thank you basket to Mt. Sinai Hospital and their staff.

Now, Pampers wants to get YOU in on the action, and making a difference. It’s so easy to do. Just go to the Pampers Facebook Page, hit “like” and then go to the Miracle Missions tab and commit to the mission by clicking the “I Want to Help” button. With Mission 1 (going on through Mother’s Day), Pampers will respond by giving baby showers to expectant mothers nationwide. (By the way, anyone who pledges is automatically entered to win a year’s supply worth of Pampers diapers and wipes. Wouldn’t that be a great bit of Karma?)

Mission 1 is easy:
Your mission is to help make Mother’s Day special by congratulating an expectant or new mom on her little miracle. Give a mom a smile, offer her your seat, buy flowers for a mom-to-be, send her a gift or surprise her with a hand-written note; something to remind her that it’s her special day.

Just commit to doing something nice for an expectant mom in your community for Mother’s Day, and you’ve done your part. Pampers will do their part by giving baby showers to 1,000 expectant mothers across the country. That’s a lot of babies getting the help they deserve!

Pampers asked me if I would do something for an expectant mom in my community who needed it, and they sent me a $50 American Express Gift Card to help me make a difference. Since we live in a small town, I wanted to do something that could help out more than one new mom, and bring a smile to several faces.

So, I headed to the store where hubby works and purchased 4 packs of Pampers Swaddlers, Size 1, and 4 travel wipes cases. Then, I headed to the Walmart we have near us that still sells fabric, and I grabbed enough fabric to create 4 custom designed travel wipes cases. I will wrap them all together in a nice little bundle, include a handwritten note offering my congratulations, and I will take them to our local hospital and have the Labor and Delivery staff deliver these gifts to 4 new moms in our area. My goal is to make those moms smile and let them know how special they are.

Here’s the stuff I purchased:

Pay it Forward

((To See how they turned out, click here: Pamper’s Little Miracle Mission Packages Delivered!))

Pampers has also asked me to invite my readers to help pay it forward to an expecting mom (or moms!), and they’re giving me one $50 American Express Gift Card to help you do just that!

Some other ideas include using the money to purchase diapers for a family who could use them, using the money to prepare meals for a family, or even using the money to host a larger fundraiser for a family. Let your creativity flow, because you’ll get $50 to make a difference!

Now, this giveaway will work very different from my other giveaways, because of the circumstances behind the giveaway. There will be no extra entries in this giveaway, because I will be judging the entries and selecting the best “pay it forward” entry that will make the biggest impact to an expectant mom. The giveaway is open to the US only. And remember, by entering this giveaway, you are promising to Pay-it-Forward to someone else instead of keeping the gift card for your own use.

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get to how to enter.

To Enter
Leave a comment below and tell me how you want to use this $50 American Express Gift Card to celebrate, support or protect a new little miracle in your community. You can post as much or as little detail as you’d like, but remember, I have to judge and select the best idea for a random act of kindness, and that person will receive the gift certificate to carry out their wish.

Entries will be accepted through May 20th at 11:59 PM, and the winner will be announced on Monday, May 23rd in a special post.

I look forward to reading your entries and finding out how you want to pay it forward to your community!

Disclaimer: I was contacted by a representative from American Pop Social Media Marketing on behalf of Pampers. I received a $50 gift card to help give back to a new or expectant mother in my community. The sponsor is also donating a second $50 gift certificate to help one of my readers do the same for their community. I was not compensated for this post in any way.

I’ve been using coupons for 20 years. Even though I don’t have children, I always watch diaper deals. Sometimes, combining sales with coupons and store rewards you can get diapers as low as $3 a package, but I still don’t have a lot of extra money. So this gift card could be set back until I found a great diaper deal and be able to purchase around 15 packs of diapers. That would be a great addition to our church’s Christmas gift giving outreach!

I would use the gift card to purchase diapers to give to my sister-in-law. Their family of 7 has been struggling for 2 1/2 years now with unemployment and my brother-in-law has been unable to find a steady well paid job. This would definitely help them out with diaper supplies that are needed! Thanks for the chance to help give back!

I recently heard from a church friend that one of our members suffers from cancer. She is a single mom with one toddler and a 7 yr old. I’d like to give her, hopefully with coupons help to stretch $50, several gift baskets with all necessities and groceries. Thank you for giving the chance for help someone in need of our community.

I live in a part of Alabama that has a lot of destruction due to the tornadoes that we had a week ago. There are people here who have lost everything. They are living in shelters as they try to pick through the rubble that used to be their homes. I would use this $50 to purchase diapers and wipes for moms who have lost everything they own in these tornadoes. There are a lot of people helping, but there is so much destruction. I think I could make life just a little bit easier for a few moms who are struggling right now.
This is a great idea! Thanks for the opportunity!

I’d give this GC to my cousin who is going to have baby in Oct. He is only 17. When he told us he is going to get married last year. All of my family told him ” Don’t do it !” Yet, he got married and now they are expecting a kid. He is just like a star on 16 and pregnant. I think they could use all the help we could give them.

I would love to donate this gift card to the Food Shelf where I volunteer.
Higher grocery prices – more needs.
No one should need to go hungry.
    Thank you.

A lady that goes to my church has been homeless for 6 months, she finally got an apartment with the help of our church last week! However she has nothing. I would love to use the gift card to help her get the “essentials” like toilet paper, laundry and dish soap, etc.

We were hit with a tornado, in Tushka Oklahoma, on March 14th. Homes were leveled, our children lost their schools and people are without a job. In my daughter’s class, there is a girl who is just 16, pregnant and her family lost their home, vehicles and job. We would love to be able to donate diapers and wipes to her and hopefully share the love of Christ with her in such a difficult time.

I think I would donate to the shelter for battered and abused women to help our single moms with little ones because some of their funding has been reduced or to the local church here that helps low income families and single moms because United Way has reduced funding

I just met someone in my community who just had a baby. She decided to switch to cloth because she couldn’t afford disposables. I would buy her diapers for her newborn baby 🙂

I’d use this to help a charity for unwed/addicted mothers that I donate to. Recently, they published their “immediate needs” list, which includes hair brushes, detangling spray, enfamil, antibacterial soap.
