New FTC Guidelines for Sponsored Posts
There are going to be some new images popping up in posts here on Blessed Beyond Words. According to the latest Guidelines from the FTC, my disclosure at the bottom of my posts is no longer enough. I need to let you know before you even start reading if I received any type of compensation for the post.
So, you will now see one (or more) of the images below at the top of my sponsored posts:
Paid Post: Sometimes I am offered money or gift certificates in exchange for the time it takes me to test a product, write an ad, or research necessary information to write up a post that is relevant to Blessed Beyond Words, my family, or my readers.
Product Reviews: I am often asked to review products by testing them out in my home, writing about my experience, and taking photos (and/or videos) of the product as I use it. I receive the product at no cost in exchange for an honest and thorough review. The product is mine to keep after I write my review. If or when I can no longer use the product, it is then donated or given away.
Affiliate Links: Included in this post are special links, unique to me, that will take you to a shopping page, product, or website. When a purchase is made through these links, I receive some sort of compensation, usually in the form of a gift certificate or cash.
So, What Does That Mean?
Whether I am paid for a post or receive a product to review, you can trust what you read here. I will always be open and honest and never swayed by compensation.
Sometimes, the content may not require my opinion, or it may be a guest post from another author. Either way, trust that I will only share content on Blessed Beyond Readers that I believe my family and/or my readers can benefit from.
My normal disclosure will still appear at the bottom of my posts (unless the sponsor requires it to be at the top). Many times, the wording is written by the PR company or the sponsor and it will clearly disclose exactly what the post entails.
Regarding Giveaways: Blessed Beyond Words and the author, Angela Vinez, assume no liability for damages associated with any prizes awarded here or contents contained therein. Prizes lost in the mail or those not delivered by sponsors are not the responsibility of Blessed Beyond Words or Angela Vinez. Prizes not claimed within 48 hours of notification to the winner will be forfeited. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to enter, and all entrants must follow state and local laws concerning sweepstakes.
