The characters are based on the Rizolli & Isles book series by author Tess Gerritsen whom you might also know from The Surgeon, The Apprentice, and Vanish.
Best friends, Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) and Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander) work side by side using their expertise to figure out the “who done it” as well as the “how done it”. Growing up at opposite ends of the economic spectrum, the two best friends remain strikingly different from one another in many ways. The glamour behind these two powerful, smart and sexy women makes this a must watch show.

I love Rizzoli and Isles. I started watching at the end of Season 1 and loved it so much that I set my DVR to record every episode – new or not – so that I could see all the episodes that I missed that first season. Now, we’re just a couple of episodes into this season, and I’m loving it just as much. This is my can’t miss show every Monday night.

I only have caught a few episodes of this show so far and I love it. I wish I would have started to watch it last season. I hope they keep this show around it is really good!
My whole family enjoys R&I. I like their friendship and how they know how to help each other w/o crossing the line. I liked the way they finished the marathon after catching the bad guy on the last episode of the first season.

I have watched this show since the 1st episode! I LOVE watching how the relationship between Jane & Maura has evolved! And Lorraine Bracco as Jane’s mom — LOVE HER!!!

I am just getting started on this show. Don’t know how I missed it until now, because I thought Sasha Alexander was amazing in the first two seasons of NCIS and I missed her character so much when they killed her off. So yeah, totally excited to see her on Rizzoli & Isles!
I was so sad when they took the Women’s Murder Club off the air – so, I’m glad Angie Harmon is back on another great show!
I love how Anige Harmon and Sasha Alexander bring the characters of Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles to life. I read the books and just love how well Angie and Sasha portray the characters!
I’m always a fan of SMART women on TV, particularly the older my niece gets.

i like that its an entertaining show to watch.i could watch it for hours! also, it shows the true power of women.instead of a crime scene show where a man is the lead role and hero, it’s two women.
