Road Rippers R/C Mobile Command (Review)

My husband is a car fanatic. It drives him crazy that I know nothing about cars. He can see a car a mile away and instantly tell you the make, model, and year of the car. He has also passed this love of cars onto our boys. While they can’t quite tell you the make, model, or year of every car that passes us on the road, they do love to play with any kind of car they can get their hands on.

So, when I was offered the opportunity to review the Road Rippers R/C Mobile Command Car, I knew I had to pounce on it!

Now, I don’t know much about cars. At all. But there is one car that I have wanted since I started driving: a Dodge Viper. I love them. But, alas, with 5 children, and being a stay-at-home mom, the practical side of me knows I will never own a Dodge Viper.

But guess what? Zander does now! The car Road Rippers and Team Mom sent us to test out was a fabulous Dodge Viper. Isn’t that great?!

The car is awesome. Made for ages 7 and up, this radio control version of the Viper comes complete with lights and sound features for the walkie-talkie themed controller. The controller includes music and vehicle sounds, and the boys can’t stop pushing the buttons. The music tends to drive me crazy, but only after I’ve heard it over and over for hours on end.

It takes a lot to get Zander away from his books. He will sit and read all day. But, now that we have the Road Rippers R/C Car, he’s constantly asking if he can take it outside for a spin. (It works great in the kitchen, too, but again, that music gets to me after awhile, so it’s outside they go!) While it says to keep it on the sidewalk and out of grass, my boys don’t listen. They’ve had this car everywhere, and it has definitely withstood everything they have put it through. It’s always great when products made for boys can actually be played with the way a boy tends to play with it!

I am super impressed with the Road Rippers R/C cars, and would definitely recommend this for a Christmas gift for any boy. My husband loves it almost as much as Zander and Jace, too, so if you’ve got a husband that’s totally into cars, this would make a great gift for him! At just $35, these cars are a fantastic value, and worth every single penny!

One of the first toys I bought with my own money was a remote-control car but we lived in Alaska and it didn't work well enough to use outside I guess. I remember taking it back and getting Littlest Pet Shop (which was a lot different back then, lol) instead. I was so disappointed!

I have a nephew who would LOVE this – I'm going to pass it on to my sister. 🙂
