It must be the weekend again, and there must be a holiday coming up, because Jace is sick. Again. I mentioned in my post the other day that Jace is having a rough go of things – and one of those “things” being the fact that he gets strep throat all the time. He hadn’t been feeling well the last few days, and this morning he was a mess. He had the croupy, barky cough, his eyes were watering, and he was crying because his throat was hurting so bad. Great. But, maybe this is just what we need to prove to the ENT that this is a recurring problem, and one that needs to be taken care of quickly. Poor little guy is miserable, so he stayed home from church with Daddy this morning.
In other news, I actually got to enjoy a Sunday Morning Worship service! Remember this post? Well, shortly after I posted that, I had a wonderful lady volunteer to take my class once a month, and she has been such a blessing. (I think some of the women finally realized that I can’t do this all on my own. Whatever the case, I’m so thankful that some have stepped up and are willing to help out!) The kids all did great with her, and I’m looking forward to getting refreshed and refilled once a month. Today’s service was awesome, and just what I needed after the last few weeks.
Lucy will turn 3 in less than 2 weeks. Still doesn’t seem real. The problem is, Lucy is nowhere near being ready to potty train. She just doesn’t have a clue. So, we will soon be taking the diapers away cold turkey. I’m a little nervous, and I may not go anywhere for a month, but it’s time to do it. Wish me luck. And if you want to read all of our potty training adventures, let me know, and I’ll share the link with you. I absolutely don’t want this blog to turn into one about potty training progression, all though I may post little updates here and there.
As you can tell, we’ve had much going on around here. We still haven’t started homeschooling yet. We’ll probably start that at the end of the month. I’m really enjoying just spending time with my kids. We’ll work when we’re all good and ready. It won’t be long.
And if all that isn’t enough, I’m planning a trip back to Ohio. Hubby can’t go with me this time, so it’ll just be me and the kids. I’m looking forward to getting away for a few days and spending time with family and friends. There’s a new baby in the family that I’ve got to get my hands on. 🙂 My cousin, Jenny, just gave birth to her second little boy, Carter Wade. I’ve seen pictures, but I’m dying to hold that sweet little guy!
Ok – sorry for the rambling. I just wanted to catch you all up and let you know that I’m still here and still alive. Hope you all have a fantastic Labor Day!
