#SlowTheMelt Twitter Party with @Popsicle this Wednesday!

I love a good twitter party. And I love it even more when there’s a good cause behind the twitter party. Popsicle® is partnering with National Geographic Kids™ to help children Slow the Melt, this Wednesday night, July 14th, from 6 – 8pm (ET),  we’re having a twitter party to celebrate!

From today until August 15, 2010, Popsicle® will donate $1 (and up to $25,000) to the National Geographic™ Polar Fund. According to the National Geographic website, here’s what the Polar Fund supports:

The National Geographic Polar Fund supports research, conservation, and education projects designed to foster greater awareness around polar and climate science, including climate, sea ice and hydrology, terrestrial and marine habitats and species, and human systems, spanning both poles. Activities supported include scientific expeditions and conservation projects, educational activities, and outreach awareness campaigns.

Definitely something we should all be proud to support, right? And Popsicle® is making it super easy for us to support such a great cause. All we have to do is tweet and use the hashtag #SlowTheMelt. Still want more information? You can find it here: http://www.mombloggersclub.com/page/anythings-possible-with

Now, make sure you join us for the #SlowtheMelt Twitter Party this Wednesday Night. I’ll be co-hosting, and I can’t wait! There will be prizes, of course – full-value coupons for Popsicle® products, several copies of the Big Book of Fun, a “boredom-buster” that includes jokes, puzzles, mazes and more kid-friendly activities. But, we really want to pull together and help raise funds for the #SlowtheMelt project!

You need to RSVP to the party, so head here to sign in: http://twtvite.com/slowthemelt

I’ll be there, and I hope to see you there too! Let’s work hard to help #SlowTheMelt!
