Smelly Washer (Closed)

Last year, our washing machine died. I mean it literally spun itself to death. No matter how hard we tried, we couldn’t fix it. But with a family of 7, I cannot be without a washer.

We didn’t have a lot of money, (does anybody?), and we couldn’t afford to wait to save up the money to buy a new washer, so we had to visit the local re-built appliance store and buy a very old, very used washer. I have hated this thing since we bought it, but we had no choice. The thing that was the worst was the horrible stench that I just could not get rid of, no matter how much I scrubbed, or how many loads of bleach I put through it.

When Smelly Washer contacted me and asked if I’d like to do a review, I jumped at the chance! Maybe, just maybe, I would finally get rid of those horrible Washing Machine Smells.

The package arrived, and I just couldn’t wait. I tore it open, read the *very* easy directions, and got to work. I was impressed with how easy the directions were to follow. I was expecting to have to tear my washing machine apart to get it to smell better. It wasn’t that way at all! Smelly Washer was super easy to use!

I had to let the washing machine sit overnight with the Smelly Washer inside. And, I’ll be honest – it took 3 treatments, but if you had seen – or smelled – my washing machine before this, you totally would understand why.

After those 3 treatments, I was blown away. The inside of my washing machine sparkled, and guess what?! No more Stinky Washing Machine! It was awesome!! I could open the washing machine and not gag from the horrible smells. And now I actually feel like my clothes are really getting clean. I mean smell-good-want-to-wear-them-all-the-time clean.

And, that’s not all. (Can you even believe that there’s MORE?!) On the label, it says that you can also use Smelly Washer to get rid of the mildew smells from your towels. And it’s true! I wash my towels every day. (I have this phobia about fresh towels. My apologies to the environmentalists.) Yet, even with washing them every day, they never smelled fresh. They were clean, but you know how that mildew scent can linger? ICK. I just hate that.

I decided to wash a load of towels in the Smelly Washer just to see if it would work. After following the easy directions and washing the towel, I was anxious to see how they would smell when they came out of the dryer.

Do you know what I smelled? I smelled the scent of the dryer sheets I bought. That was it. It wasn’t masking the mildew-y smell that lingers on the towels – that smell was gone!

I am now Smelly Washer‘s biggest fan. Really! Who knew you could love something like Washer Cleaner so much? But they made me actually like the thing I hated most in this house. I’m still amazed at how my washing machine doesn’t stink anymore! At just $16.99 a bottle, it is definitely an investment worth making!

Now if only they could do something about my husband’s smelly cowboy boots……..

I have tried to get rid of that nasty smell using bleach (like you did) and the washer still smells bad. As soon as the washer is done with a load, I hurry and get the clothes into the dryer or hang them outside, cause if they sit in the washer the clothes stink too. I could use some help.

I don't notice it, but my kids ask why the washer stinks. I tried running it with a bottle of vinegar in the water (without clothes) but they say it still smells. Guess I really need this product!!

I don't think there is anything more frustrating than a smelly washer. It feels almost contradictory to put clothes in a washer to get clean when the washer doesn't smell clean itself! I would love to try this product out!
