But, it’s Thursday, so I’m late. (In more ways than one!)
Yes, my friends and readers, for those of you checking in through the blog and caught the new design…. baby #6 is on the way.
Talk about a shock. Yes, I know what makes babies. (Please don’t ask me that, I hate that.) But, hubby and I have both been dealing with health issues lately, and both affect fertility. (Or so we all thought.)
I really didn’t believe it at first. In fact, I went through 12 pregnancy tests at home and then still had the doctor confirm it yesterday. And, yes, it’s true. My due date as of right now is March 19, 2011. I’ve never had a Spring baby, so this should be fun.
Given my history of difficult pregnancies, pre-term labor, and pre-eclampsia – and not forgetting the fact that this is my sixth baby, I’m considered high risk. That means I’ll be under the very watchful eye of a local OB who is supposed to give excellent care. (I’ve not met him yet. All I knew was I was not using my last OB.) My first appointment is scheduled for July 26th, and I’m looking forward to meeting the doctor and getting this show on the road!
So, my friends, stick around… things could get interesting around here. I’ll be creating a new section on the blog just for the pregnancy to keep family and those interested updated. You’ll probably be seeing more changes as well. I think I’m gonna need a new blog name! Any ideas?
I just wanted to share my news with you. I’ve already told my family, and most of them took it way better than I expected. Some took it about how I expected, and that’s ok. A new baby is a blessing – planned or unplanned, and I am thrilled to pieces that God is allowing me to be a mommy to one more. I am truly blessed.
