Lots of Joovy Reviews Coming Soon!

I love Joovy. Seriously. There aren’t many baby companies that impress me quite the way that Joovy does.

I first fell in love with Joovy back in 2008 when I won a Joovy Caboose through a Virtual Baby Shower. We used that stroller all the time – and in fact, we still use it quite often. Anytime we’re planning on doing a lot of walking, this stroller goes with us.

Then, in November of last year, I got the chance to review the Joovy Scooter X2. LOVED that stroller, but I ended up giving it to a friend so that she could raffle it off and raise money to adopt a baby. I figured it was the least I could do, and I know that stroller ended up making someone very happy.

In November, I also got the chance to review the Joovy Bicycoo. Parker loves this balance bike, and any time he’s outside, you’ll find him riding it. He does so great on it, and he’ll be moving up to a 2 wheel bike soon – with no training wheels, thanks to the Bicycoo!

This week, Joovy sent me a whole bunch of packages, and I can’t wait to get started on the reviews for them!

Want to know what I’ll be reviewing soon?

First is the Joovy Footcot. We have such a hard time with Parker staying in his bed, that we are hoping having his own little cot to sleep on will help him want to stay in bed. We’ll be trying out the Footcot for the next few nights, and I’ll be letting you know what Parker thinks of it.

Then, I’ll be reviewing the Joovy StepTool. I can already tell that I am going to love having this in the house. It’s great for helping Parker reach the sink to wash his hands, and I can use it to reach the spice cupboard above the microwave. 🙂 Be on the lookout for my review of the StepTool soon.

After that, I’ll be reviewing the Joovy Loo. Ok, so just the name cracks me up. But, soon, it’ll be time for potty training Gage, and I am certain that we’ll get lots of use out of the Loo.

Then, sometime soon I’ll also be reviewing theBabaSling. Since we’re expecting in February, it may be awhile before you see this review… but I can’t wait to test out this sling. I may not be able to contain myself, and may end up reviewing it with Gage just to see how much I love it. 🙂 {By the way – that’s a test to see how many of my readers are paying attention! I haven’t made the formal announcement yet, so you’ll have to catch it here.}

I hope you’ll come back and read about all the fabulous Joovy products I’ll be reviewing. I’m off to play with all the new stuff they sent us. 🙂

Baby Anti Monkey Butt {Review – Ends 4/15}

Having lots of little monkeys around here, I deal with an awful lot of monkey butt. Having one in diapers, I feel like I am constantly battling some kind of rash or irritation on Gage’s little bottom.

I’ve been using Baby Anti Monkey Butt powder and paste on Gage’s butt for a couple of weeks now, and I love what it’s done for his skin. There are no more signs of monkey butt anywhere. Just a soft, smooth baby bottom – just like there should be.

The Baby Anti Monkey Butt Diaper line offers up something special that I haven’t seen before: Calamine. Baby Anti Monkey Butt diaper rash cream has a unique formula that utilizes the power of calamine and zinc oxide the prevent and heal delicate skin that’s irritated. It seals out wetness, and prevents soreness, itchiness, and redness {aka “monkey butt”} that infants and toddlers experience from wearing diapers.

Baby Anti Monkey Butt powder has a powerful combination of calamine and cornstarch that works together to absorb moisture, minimize discomfort, and treat irritation. It’s a fresh-scented powder that’s as soft as silk, and it keeps baby both dry and happy.

I am super impressed with how well Baby Anti Monkey Butt powder and paste has worked on Gage’s super delicate skin. Before, we were dealing with rash after rash. Now, I haven’t seen the slightest hint of irritation. I’ve also found that it works well on the bigger kids too. We had a bout with the flu recently, and poor Parker couldn’t seem to stay out of the bathroom. his little butt was rubbed raw from the toilet paper. A little dab of Baby Anti Monkey Butt, and he was feeling better in no time.

I would definitely recommend Baby Anti Monkey Butt products to moms of infants and toddlers. These are my diaper bag essentials, and I don’t go anywhere without them anymore.

Bean-B-Clean Scalp Massaging Brush {Review + Giveaway}

This giveaway will end Wednesday, June 22nd at 11:59pm EST.

Bean B CleanI cannot stand cradle cap: those  icky, yucky scales that appear on a sweet newborn baby’s head that are hideous to look at. All of my kids have battled Cradle Cap shortly after birth. Jace had the absolute worst case of it. It was all over his head, and even on his eyebrows. It was awful. Washing his head every day only seemed to make it worse. I had never seen anything like it before, and I swore I would never let another baby deal with cradle cap like that again.

Lucy and Parker both battled Cradle Cap. With Lucy, I was lucky, and I could stick a big bow on her head to hide the cradle cap. And, I usually did. With Parker, it never got as bad as it did with Jace, but I was frustrated that I couldn’t find any products that worked well in the fight against cradle cap.

Now, Gage is here. And once again, we’re dealing with those nasty little scales on his head. Luckily, it hadn’t gotten too bad before I received the Bean-B-Clean to review.

What a fantastic little brush! It is so easy to use, and works great! Gage still has a little bit of cradle cap, but it’s not bad at all. I really believe the Bean-B-Clean is working to keep it from getting out of control. It’s the best product I have found to get rid of cradle cap.

Gage loves the Bean-B-Clean. Every night when I give him a bath, I rub his head with just a tiny bit of baby oil and use the Bean-B-Clean to rub it in. Then, I repeat with baby shampoo and the Bean-B-Clean. Gage’s eyes roll back into his head, and he gets a huge smile on his face. It’s like he’s in heaven!

This is such a fabulous little gadget, and it works great! I would definitely recommend the Bean-B-Clean to any mom that has a newborn baby and wants to prevent cradle cap or help get rid of it.

    Boba Baby Carrier {Review}

    Boba Baby CarrierI love carrying my babies around in a carrier. It truly makes my life so much easier. It frees up my hands and allows me to get things done. Parker spent a lot of time in a really uncomfortable carrier when he was a newborn, simply because that was the only carrier I had available to me. Oh, how I wish I had been introduced to the Boba Carrier a long time ago.
    Boba Baby Carrier
    Before I get to my review of the Boba Baby Carrier, here are some need to know facts about the company and the carrier:

    • Carriers are made from certified organic cotton.
    • Made in Boulder, Colorado by local mountaineering professionals. (Made in the USA!)
    • Features of the carriers:
      • accommodates children 15-45 lbs
      • one size fits most adults
      • front and back carry
      • Boba Organic collection made with GOTS and OE100 certified 100% organic cotton and organic Texas cotton lining
      • Boba Classic collection made with 100% natural brushed cotton
      • high density waist and shoulder strap foam
      • removable foot straps for extra leg/hip support
      • high back for better overall support
      • removable hood

    My Review of the Boba Carrier

    At first glance, I thought the carrier would be complicated to put on. After all, I am 8 months pregnant, and don’t handle complexity well at all. I was pleasantly surprised when I took a closer look and discovered that it wasn’t complicated at all. I tried to put the carrier on by myself first, before checking the directions, just to test the complexity. Wouldn’t you know it? After snapping it on, (without Parker in place),  and then checking the directions, I discovered I had put the carrier on properly, and I was ready to pop Parker into it.

    Now, I use this carrier every single day. I’ve talked on here about how I have to park my truck at the top of our crazy-long driveway, and walk up and down. If I have someone here to help me with Parker and Lucy, it’s much easier. But, it also doesn’t happen very often. Most days, I have to get Parker and Lucy up and down the driveway alone. I honestly don’t know what I would do without this carrier. It is so nice to strap on the carrier, put Parker into place on my back, and carry him – and all the stuff needed – up and down the driveway. It keeps my hands free to hold Lucy’s hand, (or the groceries, diaper bag, or whatever else I need), and get them up and down without incident. Remember the fall I took a few weeks ago? That was before I started using the Boba Carrier. I’m guessing if I had used it then, I would have had my hands free to hold the flashlight in one hand and Lucy’s hand in the other, and would have been able to see where I was going a whole lot better.

    There are several things that I absolutely love about the carrier:

    1. It is extremely comfortable! Even at 8 months pregnant, walking up and down a very steep hill is no problem at all. My back doesn’t hurt a bit, and it feels like it was made just for Parker.
    2. How much Parker loves it. Boba Baby CarrierWe’ll be in the house, and Parker will spot the carrier hanging by the back door. He’ll pull it down, bring it to me, and ask for a “piggy back ride.” I’ve never used a carrier with kids over the age of 2, simply because they’ve always hated being in them. However, Parker loves his Boba Carrier and wants to be in it all the time. (I know he doesn’t look happy in the picture, but that’s because he had just woken up a minute before that picture was taken.)
    3. The material used. Oh my gosh. So soft, and plush. I’ll definitely be using this carrier with Gage as well – if Parker will let me!
    4. The overall design. I love that it has a safety snap at my chest so that I don’t have to worry about Parker falling out. And, it comes with an attached hood. That’s been wonderful to have on chilly morning walks up to the bus stop!
    5. The company behind the product. Just listen to part of their mission statement:

      NAP, Inc.’s mission is to provide comfortable and durable baby carriers to parents throughout the world and give them a helping hand in raising confident, joyful and compassionate children. We hope to enhance the bond between mother and child by enabling both to be close and connected to each other in a practical yet magical sort of way.

    At $100 per carrier, the price may seem a little steep. But, I have to tell you that this carrier is absolutely worth every penny. It can be used from 15 – 45 pounds. (Do you know how long my kids take to get to 45 pounds? My 7 year old just barely makes it over that!) It is so well made that it seems as though it will last forever. (Now, I cannot attest that it will indeed last forever, as I have only had mine for a few weeks. What I can tell you is that in my opinion, this baby carrier is very well made, and I will personally use it for my children for as long as I possibly can.)

    Overall, I am quite impressed with the Boba Baby Carrier and would recommend it to any mom or mom to be that wants to carry her baby without the back pain. I will continue to use my Boba Carrier with my 2 year old and will also use it with my newborn once he reaches the appropriate weight.

    If you want to know more about Boba carriers, the best ways to do that are to do the following:

    Boba Carriers can be purchased through their website or you can find a Boba Carrier retailer near you (USA, Canada, and International).
