I love the holidays. Family and friends dropping by, great big meals with tons of yummy food, and snuggling by the fire listening to Christmas music. This is my favorite time of year, and I wish it could be like this all year long.

Are there certain scents that take you back to your childhood? For me, the scent that always brings the memories flooding back is the smell of Apple Cider. It’s like I’m a little girl again, visiting the pumpkin farm with my family, eating handmade donuts and drinking hot apple cider fresh from the orchard. Life was so wonderful then, and I didn’t have a care in the world. Now, all these years later, just a whiff of apple cider takes me back to those wonderful days from times gone by.

For this review, Febreze and SheSpeaks sent me a Febreze NOTICEables warmer with two special edition NOTICEables scents: Apple Cider and Cranberry frost, as well as a Cranberry Cider Set & Refresh.

I put the Cranberry Cider Set & Refresh in the kitchen. In the kitchen is where you’ll find lots of different smells: scents from cooking, and scents from the stinky trash can. I set the Set & Refresh on the island, just above the trash can, and WOW! What a difference it has made! Now, you walk into the kitchen and it smells like the holidays… NOT like a stinky trash can. I love walking by and getting a sniff of the Cranberry Cider scent. It gets me all pumped up for the holidays and ready to bake something wonderful.

I plugged the Febreze NOTICEables warmer in the living room. Just moments after I plugged it in, all of the kids were asking me, “What smells so good?” It does smell amazing, and I love that it alternates between the two scents. And every time I smell the apple cider scent, I’m taken right back to my childhood like I mentioned above, and can’t help but think about my Daddy and all the memories we made.

I’m excited to have folks over this holiday season, just so they can experience my Febreze scents for themselves. I’m certain these wonderful smells will bring back memories for every one of my visitors. If not, maybe it will help them create some new memories. 🙂

This year, if you want to make your holidays a little sweeter, be sure to grab some Febreze products in their Special Edition Holiday Scents. Your house will smell amazing, and you’ll be the talk of the family this holiday season.

With scents like Cranberry Cider, Falling Leaves, Winter Frost, Apple & Spice, and Glistening Pine, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Halloween: Popsicle Style! #Sponsored

Sponsored PostThis post is brought to you by Popsicle.

Fall is here, and so is colder weather. But that doesn’t mean you have to stop enjoying Popsicles!

We have been super busy around here lately, but I am dying to come up with some creative crafts for Halloween so I can use up our Popsicle stick stash.

Thank heavens for Pinterest!

I did a search on “Halloween Popsicle Stick Crafts” on Pinterest, and I can’t believe all the fantastic ideas that are floating around the internet! Here are a few on my “Must Make” list for this week:

Aren’t those adorable? And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many creative ideas you can come up with for decorating with Popsicle sticks.

I also put together this super cute frame to display our pictures from Halloween this year, and it only took me a few minutes!

My favorite part of being a Popsicle Ambassador is that I get to eat Popsicles all the time with my kids… but the fun doesn’t end there! Saving the Popsicle sticks gives us the chance to create and play together even more!

Right now, Parker is really into puzzles. He loves breaking them apart and putting them back together over and over and over again. And Popsicle sticks are perfect for creating homemade puzzles! Just line the sticks up, paint them (if desired), draw a picture on them, and then mix up the pieces. Then, have your child put them back together again. I get all the kids involved and have one help me paint, one help me draw, and then the others mix them up and put them together. Here’s one that we’ve done:

So, see? Just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy Popsicles inside. Then, take the fun to a whole new level and get creating with your kids. These are the memories they will cherish forever. Years from now, they’ll look back and say, “Mom! Remember the time we made that Popsicle stick picture frame?” Yep. Totally worth it.

While you’re getting crafty with Popsicle, don’t forget to interact with them in the following ways:

  • Visit the Popsicle website to find out about all the fabulous Popsicle products available.

Preparing for a Wedding… and Other Ramblings

What a week this has been – and it’s only Tuesday!

Acutally, hubby has been off work for the past 7 days. His timing was perfect, too, because I have been laid up in bed for the past 5 days. I’m just so glad it worked out that hubby ended up being home and off work when I was down for the count.

{For the record – a broken tooth and a sinus infection do not mix well. Tooth pain is horrible to begin with, but when you add the pressure of a sinus infection, it’s absolutely awful. I haven’t been able to do anything but cry for days.}

I’m finally on the mend, though, and am starting to feel a little more human again. Thank heavens. This has been awful.

Now, I’ve got just a few days to prepare for a wedding. My Mother in Law is getting remarried on Saturday, and I’ve got to make tons of bows. I’m praying I can get it all done in time. The wedding is a fall theme, and I’m hoping the idea I have for the bows turns out as nicely as I have them pictured in my head. I’ll be sure to share pictures with you once they’re all finished.

I averted a crisis when I stopped at the florist yesterday. My Mother in Law is blind, and she told the florist that her dress is blue. So, she asked if the florist could mix in some blue flowers with the fall colors to help pull it all together. Well, her dress is not blue. It’s more of an aqua or seafoam green – definitely not blue. The blue flowers the florist was picking out would have clashed horribly with the dress. But, crisis averted, the right color flowers have been picked out, and hopefully it will all work well together. Since I’m the wedding photographer, I’ll be able to show you how everything turns out. 🙂

Ok – back to bow making. So much to do, so little time…

So, that’s how my week has been….. How’s yours?
