We live in the mountains, and that means lots of woods, and lots of bugs. I am not a bug person by any means. I freak out if a ladybug lands on my arm. (My kids all find this hysterical. Me? Not so much.)
I need a bug blocker that I know is going to work. One that’s going to keep things like mosquitoes, ticks, horse flies, and other bugs far, far away from me.
We put the Bug Blocker to the ultimate test. Ashley went on a camp out with our church in the middle of the woods at night. (I am so glad I didn’t go!) I can only imagine how bad the bugs were. But, instead of arming her with bug sprays that contain DEET, (that are considered unsafe for kids), I armed her with the ThermaSkin Bug Blocker, and told her to reapply it every 3 hours as needed.
Usually when Ashley is outside, she is attacked by bugs. She must have the sweetest tasting skin around, because she is always coming home with bug bites out the wazoo. (Remember last year when we dealt with those horrible chigger bites? ICK.) This year, I am glad to report that there were no chigger bites, and only 1 or 2 mosquito bites. After all night in the woods, (sleeping in a tent), there were only 1 or 2 bites? I’d call the bug blocker pretty darn effective, wouldn’t you?
I am thoroughly impressed by the ThermaSkin Bug Blocker, and it’s the only thing we’ll be using to repel bugs from now on. It’s 100% natural, contains no DEET, and it’s so easy to use. Plus, the best part is that you don’t have to cover every inch of exposed skin for it to work. I’m certain Ashley wasn’t meticulous about applying it. And, it’s even safe to apply to clothing. (Although I didn’t have Ashley test that part. You may want to try applying it to old clothes before you roll it all over your new blouse.)
The ThermaSkin Bug Blocker isn’t tested on animals, and it’s made in the USA. It is available for $12.99, but is on sale right now for $10.99. While that may seem a little steep, I can easily see this entire bottle lasting all summer with normal use. Imagine buying enough of the other stuff to last all summer. It would cost way more than $10.99, I’m sure.
This is a product that I am proud to share with my readers, and one that I will continue to use for all my bug-blocking needs. It has earned the 5 Vinez Monkeys seal of approval.
