Wordless Wednesday: You did WHAT?!

He found the clippers:
5 year old haircut

The end result:
5 year old haircut - after

I really can’t keep this post too “wordless.” I feel the need to explain. Hubby cuts the boys’ hair. It’s just cheaper and easier that way. When the clippers aren’t in use, they are stored under the sink in the master bathroom. The kids only use our bathroom when the other potty is in use, and honestly? We never thought about any of them messing with the clippers.

Apparently, Jace decided to try cutting his own hair. I have no idea how he plugged in the clippers or knew how to turn them on, but he did. And he took them to the front of his head. Hubby had to shave his entire head, because there was no other way to fix it.

And the reason Jace is crying so hard? Because he was terrified that people would laugh at him because he had to get all of his hair cut off.

And for the record, the clippers are now in the top of my closet – well out of the reach of little hands (and heads).

    Oh man, that's one of those times where you wish you could rewind and stop 'em from doing it. But hopefully he learned not to play with those clippers again.

    Oh bless his heart. But I guess he learned a lesson huh. Still it is sad to see him upset but it happens all the time.

    Poor little guy…he looks so sad. I remember (not too long ago) when Mad decided she no longer wanted bangs – she took the kitchen scissors and cut them all off.

    Oh, no! Luckily hair grows back quick!

    I'd get him a cool looking t-boggin for his head not only to keep it warm but so he won't feel so bad until it atleast grows to a peach fuzz stage and dad could always cut his all off so they match and go thru it together growing back, poor guy he looks so pitiful.

    Poor guy…what a sad picture. I'm sure he won't touch the clippers again…and it will grow back quick. My niece did the same with her hair, but with scissors. She cut her bangs up to her hairline. Unfortunately, you can't give a girl a buzz-cut to even it out.

    I can sympathize! One of my sons did it with a pair of his kiddie scissors! Here's a picture of him after he did it: http://susanheim.blogspot.com/2008/06/when-kids-cut-their-own-hair.html. We ended up just cutting his bangs really short to even them up. It seemed like it took forever for them to grow out!

    Awww I think most kids cut their own hair…it's like a rite of passage!

    My heart breaks to see him cry. Any little one for that matter. Those crocodile tears get to me in an instant.

    LOL! That's how they learn, and sometimes they don't, they think that it is funny or cool, but I think that your lil guy learned his lesson;}
