Yard Sale Today!

I’m trying something new to me… I’m participating in a community-wide yard sale. I’ve been up since 6 o’clock this morning getting ready for this thing, and I’m praying it’s not a total bust.

Where I live, there’s no way I could ever host a yard sale at my house. Peoples’ cars would get lost in my driveway, never to be seen again. So, when my MIL’s apartment complex announced they were hosting a community yard sale, I figured it would be a great way to make a few extra bucks, and get rid of the stuff around here that’s piling up. After all, I’ve got to make way for baby-to-be!

Wish me luck! I’ll be gone all day, so I won’t be able to post or announce any winners, but I’ll be back tomorrow with the weekly giveaway linky, and then on Monday I’ll give you a full report of how my first yard sale went. Unless, of course, it’s a total bust. I don’t want o have to admit to that!

How about you? Are you a yard sale diva? I love to shop them, but this is my first where I’ve actually got my stuff up for sale. I’d love to hear your stories!

Have a great day!

I've helped with a lot of yard sales but I've never done it alone! I should – we have a lot of junk. lol And kids' stuff really piles up! I'm not really brave enough to do it myself, though.

You've been featured at today's Spotlight Saturday Blog Hop! 🙂

So how did you do? I had a garage sale of my own almost a month ago, and did about $40. I found most of Annalise's and my Halloween costumes at a garage sale from this one lady down the street that was selling them for a dollar. I finished the stash off with a witch hat and cat accessory card from Walmart. You can really find good stuff. This same lady had great green brocade fabric that she attempted to make curtains from, only charged me 50 cents and I can make a loveseat cover for my new place.
